Dear colleagues and friends,
MESSAGE
It is our great pleasure to welcome you to the 6th European Congress for Bronchology and Interventional Pulmonology – ECBIP 2021, which is taking place in Athens-Greece, at the Megaron Athens International Conference Centre (MAICC), on 15-17 October 2021.
The congress is held in a hybrid format, which means fully physical and fully virtual at the same time.
The Organizing Committee would like to thank all attendees, whether physical or virtual, for joining the ECBIP 2021 despite the COVID-19 restrictions, and the understandable fatigue from the extended period of remote scientific meetings. We are very honored by the commitment of our colleagues from across the globe, as well as the engagement of affiliated disciplines to this endeavor.
We made every possible effort to create an interesting scientific program, that covers all novel endoscopic imaging technologies, from elastography to optical coherence tomography, all local ablative techniques for intrapulmonary malignant lesions, with or without navigational technology, artificial Intelligence in recognizing lung nodules or EBUS TBNA slides for ROSE, as well as advanced robotic bronchoscopy. In other words, all fundamental and novel techniques and aspects of our field.
We also focused on creating hands-on content, by including 9 clinical workshops, where an actual training opportunity would be given, in small groups of registered and motivated participants under the guidance of world-renowned experts.
Live cases will be projected from the OR in plenary sessions for all of us to see and comment.
Furthermore, we have created for the first time a place in the Program for Bronchoscopy nurses, by specifically scheduling dedicated Sessions featuring all IP modalities.
